Dallas Slot Cars Flexi Indycar  amd Nastruck Rules

Chassis-  

JK C35 JK251172 _ 4" Cheetah F1/Indy Chassis Kit, Wide- upright motor mount may be removed to facilitate soldering the can to the chassis; it is also permissible to solder the can to the upright mount. Also permissible to grind plating off of chassis where motor is to be soldered to chassis
- Tape on bottom of chassis is allowed and weight on top of chassis.

No other modifications allowed to chassis

Motor-

Allowed motors: JK retro hawk, JK hawk 7, Mid America retro eagle, Mid America eagle, and PS 4002 FK. Motors must be factory sealed and using the unmodified factory seal only. Can apply nail polish to seals.

The JK retro hawk, Hawk 7 and M-A Eagle and retro eagle motors may be modified only as follows:- axle-facing side of the can may be notched to allow for axle clearance
- armature shaft may be shortened    

Pro Slot PS-4002FK may be modified only as follows:- springs and brushes may be changed; springs must be of three coil type
- axle-facing side of the can may be notched to allow for axle clearance
- armature shaft may be shortened
- Any 36-D sized motor brushes may be used. Brushes may not be cut, slotted or modified on the surface touching the commutator. Brushes may be radiused prior to break in.
- Super Glue may be added to the endbell bushing.
- Can oilite bushing may be soldered in place

No spring insulation or shunt wires are allowed.

External Can type motor heat sinks and comm coolers are allowed.

Motor changes may take place with the approval of the race director/race official. Any changed motor must be teched by race officials prior to the start of the next heat or immediately after the race.

Body-Indy

JK B2B JK6113B _ F1/Indy Wide Body 0.010”- Body must be painted and have 3 numbers.
- No materials may be added (e.g. Lexan strip) to raise body height beyond what was molded by the manufacturer.
- No air control may be added. Lexan strips or tape may be affixed to the body to strengthen stress points, support the rear wing, or repair crash damage provided the strip(s) does not affect air control.


Body-Nastruck

JK 4" Nastruck body only.

Front Axle and Wheels-

3.25” maximum track width

Must be two pieces a wheel and a foam rubber tire. Foam rubber tire must be glued to the front wheels. Front tire foam must be Black and made from natural, wonder or SBR type rubber. No silicone material(s) allowed. Fronts may be coated with "super glue" or finger nail polish. Contact patch must touch the entire track

surface. No angle cut or treading allowed.

3/32 axle, No hollow axle, axle cannot protrude wider than the front tires

No soldering of front axle bushings

 

 

Rear Axle-

Only 3/32-inch axle, no hollow axles.

Bushings may be soldered or glued in place. Ball bearings are not permitted

Rear Clearance and Axle Track Width-

.050’’ minimum clearance under rear center section and spur gear.

Bushings may be soldered or glued in place. Ball bearings are not permitted

Gears-

Any 64 pitch gears 

Any gear ratio is allowed 

Metal spur gears are not allowed

Guides-

May use any commercially available guide flag. May use any lead wire, guide clips and guide nut.

Rear Tires- 

Must be made using Natural Rubber tires only. Fish/Tuna (treated or untreated ) and Wonder rubber is allowed. No Speed, silicone or synthetic rubber allowed. Maximum rear tire width is .810" ( 20.57 mm ) and the minimum rear tire diameter is .750" ( 20.066 mm ).

Dallas Slot Cars Flexi LMP Rules

Chassis-  

Any commercially available Flexi chassis, whether current or out of production, may be used. This includes newer JK and Mossetti chassis as well as older Champions and Kellys.- original pan(s) may be replaced with alternate replacement(s) from the same manufacturer (note, however, that a single pan on a two-piece chassis may not be cut/split to emulate a three-piece-chassis)
- if equipped, upright motor mount may be removed to facilitate soldering the can to the chassis; it is also permissible to solder the can to the upright mount.
- May add bracing to front guide tongue and rear uprights
- May add tape to bottom of chassis and weight to top of chassis
- May use pin tubes instead of clips
- Rear axle holes may be enlarged for height and axle alignment
- Center section must be steel. 

Motor-

- body must have at least three numbers
- bodies must have clear or tinted windows
- Body must cover entire chassis, including guide flag, when viewed from above.
- No air control may be added. Lexan strips may be affixed to the body to strengthen stress points, support the rear wing, or repair crash damage provided the strip(s) does not affect air control.
- Body interiors must be used. Must be formed and 3-D. Paper interiors allowed. Must be painted a minimum of two colors.

 

Front Axle and Wheels- Either physical front wheels mounted on axles or sticker front tires may be used.

​Physical Fronts- body must be appropriately paint-masked so that wheels are visible from the outside or body must be cut to see front wheels
- wheels must be mounted on an axle
- wheels must rotate, either around or with the axle
- it is not required that the axle be soldered to the upright; the axle may float/turn within the holes
- separate axles (that is, one per side) are allowable
- axles may be soldered directly to uprights or held with keepers and allowed to float within the uprights’ holes
- Any solid front axle(s) is allowed, with minimum diameter of .047-inch; no hollow axles.
- minimum ½ -inch diameter. foam or O-ring tires

Sticker Fronts- in lieu of the above, racer may opt to use sticker front tires
- sticker fronts must be a minimum of .5-inch diameter and placed in appropriate location

Rear Axle-

Any size; no hollow axles. 

Rear Clearance and Axle Track Width-

.047’’ minimum under rear center section and spur gear.

- Body must cover entire chassis, including guide flag, when viewed from above.
- No materials may be added (e.g. Lexan strip) to raise body height beyond what was molded by the manufacturer.
- No air control may be added. Lexan strips may be affixed to the body to strengthen stress points, support the rear wing, or repair crash damage provided the strip(s) does not affect air control.

- Rear cannot be cut above molded rear bumper
